I have already written about my index card method which was inspired by Ryan Holiday.
This short video is more about how our brain stores information (like in chucks) and an index card represent it best. When you write, you have to think it over, and having the limited space of only a small 3x5 card.
An index card (not a digital one) is like the best of both worlds, you get the benefits of writing by hand, and limited space makes it hard for you to ramble on the page. Hence makes you pause and think about it.
